Washington DC | Inspiration from Traveling

So hubby surprised me a while back and said, “Let’s go somewhere for Valentine’s Day!” I said, “YES!” This is all very surprising, because we’re not huge Valentines people. I mean, we’ve always gotten each other something, but it was fun to splurge together and take a fun trip!

I am going to go into much greater detail about some aspects of our recent Washington DC trip (like visiting a Nature Photography exhibit, seeing Julia Child’s kitchen and more!) but for now here are some snapshots of things we loved and places we thought were beautiful.

After I was done, I looked at it and said, “Wow! I really like beautiful architecture!” Perhaps that’s why Europe is my favorite, so many amazingly beautiful buildings are everywhere.

February 22, 2010 - 2:28 pm Mindy - So fun :) I've never been to Washington but I've always wanted to go...thanks for sharing!

February 23, 2010 - 10:02 am Dawn Beirnes - Hey Kristen! I follow your blog (we Nashville peeps have to stick together!), so I wanted to check with some locals with this question I have. I will be doing my first (yea!) photo shoot next month for a good friend. She wants some action shots of her son playing baseball. My question is after you complete everything, where do you get your prints done at after they order? I have done a couple shots for people that had kids on my grandsons football team, but it wasn't a photo "shoot" or anything, and had the prints done at Wolf camera. Let me know what you think. OH, your latest pics make me want to become a world traveler! They are great shots! Take care Dawn

March 2, 2010 - 7:42 am Leeann Marie - I love your little collage! Did you create that yourself or do you have some program/action that does it for you? It's really cute and good sizing with the pictures!

March 4, 2010 - 10:14 am kristen - Hey Leann! I created an "Inspiration Board" template in InDesign and then plopped all my photos in it and saved is as a JPG! Once you get that first template made it's as easy as pie!
